Why did you choose Mizzou?
I chose Mizzou because I liked the coaching staff and the "family" feel that Mizzou had to offer. The campus was beautiful when I first toured, and it keeps getting even better each year with the new additions.
How did you decide on your major?
After I am finished playing softball, I would like to become a Physical Therapist. I hope to attend the physical therapy school at Mizzou.
Favorite class and why?
I really like any Biology classes. I am very interested in learning about the human body and how it works.
What game do you look forward to most?
I look forward to our Conference Rival game against Oklahoma this year. We will be playing on ESPN at our home field, and I can't wait for this game.
What do you want to do when your graduate?
I want to go to Physical Therapy school at Mizzou.
How did you get started in your sport?
I played t-ball ever since I can remember. I started pitching in fourth grade when my coach asked if anyone wanted to try. After I nearly pitched the ball over the backstop, my dad decided to get me involved in some lessons and that is how I got here today.
Best memory at Mizzou (athletic related)?
My best memory has been making it to the World Series back to back the last two years. I remember watching the World Series as a little girl and hoping that someday I could play on that field. That dream finally came true the last two years, and that experience is very special to me.
Best memory at Mizzou (non-athletic related)?
My best memory at Mizzou is having the chance to meet all the great friends I have acquired the past three years. My teammates, friends from other teams, and friends from my classes have added to my experience here at Mizzou, making my time here better than I could have expected.
Volunteering/Community Service you have done?
My team likes to go together to the Food Bank of Columbia. We like to split up into teams and compete to see who can package the most food. Our team also likes to visit the Children's Hospital to say hi to the children. I like to spend time going to elementary schools to read to classes, and I am looking forward to working with the Special Olympics later this semester.
Hobbies outside of your sport?
I love to shop. I can find something in any store I go in that I "have" to have. I also enjoy going to movies, hanging out with my teammates and spending time with my family.
Accomplishment you are most proud of?
I have earned a few softball awards over the past couple years, but I am most proud of making the Dean's List the last few semesters and being named First Team Academic All-Big XII. These accomplishments show how hard I have worked in the classroom, while being competitive in softball.
