A key component to the success of the Missouri Tigers student-athletes and the enjoyment of fans is the availability of first-class athletics facilities. Over the past decade, Mizzou Athletics – due in large part to private funding through generous Tiger fans – has been able to renovate and/or construct facilities for nearly all 20 varsity sports. The Athletics Department continues to invest in its infrastructure as plans are underway for the construction or renovation of the following facilities:

Gymnastics and Golden Girls Practice Facility

Project cost - $5.625 M
Size of facility – 25,000 sq. ft.
Location of construction site – 100 yards South of Memorial Stadium
Size of Gymnastics practice area – 14,500 sq. ft.
Size of Golden Girls practice area – 3,000 sq. ft.
Timeline of project – Aug. 2011

  • Gymnastics staff offices
  • Golden Girls head coach office
  • Two locker rooms
  • Training room
  • Cardio area
  • Two lounge areas
  • Combination of new and existing training equipment

  • Lobby - $100,000

Old Hawthorne Golf Facility

Project cost - $1.357 M
Size of facility – 5,000 sq. ft.
Location of construction site – adjacent to The Club at Old Hawthorne
6221 E. Broadway Columbia, MO 65201
Timeline of project – scheduled for construction once private support has been raised

  • Four indoor/outdoor hitting bays
  • State of the art video equipment utilizing high speed cameras for swing pattern analysis
  • Private driving range, chipping area and putting green
  • Coaches offices
  • Two locker rooms
  • Two lounge areas

  • Grand entryway - $250,000
  • Women’s locker room - $100,000
  • Men’s locker room - $100,000

  • Hitting Bay (2) - $50,000 each

Ralph and Debbie Taylor Phi Delta Theta Stadium Renovations

The baseball stadium renovations will encompass 15,803 sq. ft.
Project cost –  $3 Million
New indoor practice facility completed April, 2010 project Cost - 2 M
Location of construction site – along third baseline
Timeline of project:
Phase one – indoor practice facility completed April 2010
Phase two – (TBD) locker room/seating and coaches offices
